The artists group Zimmer.Küche.Kabinett. (Zoe GUGLIELMI, Julia HOFSTETTER, Lavinia LANNER, Iris NEMECEK and Elisabeth WEDENIG) have been preparing their exhibition in Bildetage for the whole January – the effects of their work can be seen in our gallery from 6th Feb until the 27 Feb 2010.
The group developed an exhibition including Installations and Paintings according to their current concept of making use of empty apartments. “ A room that makes it possible to show the consecutive phases of work and it itself constitutes an inspiration for new ideas. The motivation to continue the work and make it a part of the artistic discourse as well as the motivation to make good use of the spatial conditions of  the city where we work had formed the foundations for this project” 1
The term „ a memory“ best describes the topic of the project. The individual contribution of each artist creates the well-rounded character of the exhibition.
The phrase „the essence of my work“ on a glass container seems inviting. The container is filled with pencil shavings and placed next to a pencil work: traces of Lavinia Lanner’s participation in the creation of this work of art. Julia Hofstetter, on the other hand, visualizes her internal states on a canvas. Her early childhood memories and the loneliness are topics that stand for the symbols used in her work. Zoe Guglielmi’s metaphorical illustrations show her mental journey through her first experiences as an artist. Elisabeth Wedenig creates a homelike atmosphere working with old furniture and decorative elements.
